Sunny Summer Ladies

Summer in UK is different form Summer in Malaysia and even US.
Raindrops in UK Summer season is high, often raining. This few days, weather change and it's getting hotter and stuffy.

"OMG, there is no FAN in my room!" was the first shock when i enter the Forge. I'm so surprise that British rooms has no fan. I'm wonder how they survive in a room with little window gap and heavy door closed tight. Is there any air circulation? Aren't they feel warm and stuffy?

All this questions run all my mind until I've adapted to this environment. I started to understand why there's no fan.. i think it's because most of the time, weather here are chill and cold. Only summer time it's warm and hot. Furthermore, British students are having holiday and since Asian summer student able to stand under hot temperature, there is no reason why they need to install fan in the room.

Is my assumption make sense?
Well, back to Malaysia, there must be a fan in our room. It is a hygiene factor as what we said.. not even a motivator. There was so stuffy when UK temperature raise to 27 Degree Celsius! It's incredibly crazy!

Anyway, Outdoor activities are one way to avoid us back to this stuffy room.
Thus, we start up with photo taking session, pooling, partying, gambling! hahaaahaha

It was fun and enjoyable when it's time to party!
Beer, pizza, chit chatting +++

London's Moment to shine

Student knows best when it comes to night life.

There are different types of night life in Malaysia. It can be a night life in night market, club & pubs or at a Indian Muslim stores; We call it as Mamak. How's Mamak look like? Let take a look at the picture bellow

Students will probably choose Mamak since drinks and foods are superb cheap!

Basically you only need RM8 to get a meal. Seats fully seat when there is football match/ Olympic Games/ Commonwealth Games ect +++
Now, am in UK and we watch London Olympic Opening Ceremony in a pub! It's a big difference from watching in Mamak as what we do in Kuala Lumpur. We are proud to be here in UK while this ceremony happening in London, UK. The feeling is some kind that you are one part of them even though u watch in Sheffield in front of a big screen =)

"London's Moment to shine", I like this phase a lot!

Grand opening, classic music, spectacular fireworks, celebrity attending, Queen of Elizabeth, Price William and Kate, Prince Harry, the audience, the participant, and me!

Scene that make laugh non stop is the symphony orchestra part whereby Mr Bean playing piano with his best seller expression!

There are 2 part that surprise me a lot.

"Queen Elizabeth" jump from the helicopter when James bond is considering whether he should jump or not. Then the second is when new young athletics light up the Olympic torch. I thought i present in the way similar to the camp fire. But it turn the tulip like into an Olympic torch! It was elegant and spectacular!

Everyone was like,"wuahhhh" with the O-Shape lips

I enjoy throughout the whole ceremony and it has a different kind of feeling compare to the last Olympic hold by China.

First Avocado

It's been a while that i never blog.. It's because of Busy.. busy n busy all the time =/
I finally found the best time to blog something today!

It's about Avocado!
I bought some from Aldi supermarket nearby the Forge and this is my first bite on avocado in my life honestly. It sounds weird, i know...

We do have avocado in Malaysia, it's not local fruits perhaps.. seldom Malaysian will choose avocado in stead of our own tropical fruits. My parents don't even know how to eat this avocado.

It might be strange for you, but it's similar to an European who don't even know how Durian look like!

Anyway, YouTube teach me how to cut Avocado perfectly.
Thanks to youtube!

and so... how's my avocado look like?
Perfect?  *wink*

How it taste? Well, i feel it's just like eating coconut =9
To add some taste and make it better, i add a teaspoon of honey.

This is what i do for my tea time ❤ =)

Thy Care Means Love

It's been a week that we never talk with each other since the last quarrel..
I can feel your care and love is still exist. I might guess wrong but my intuition & feeling guide me all the time..

I miss you , i really do =C
What i did to calm down myself is to image you are my soft toy that you gave it to me for our first valentine. I remember we celebrated earlier for that particular year.
You even surprise me in the "Mama Mia Show".
It was rain very heavily that day and you drive all the way down from Kulim to Ipoh

When i pack, I decided to bring this soft toy over to UK in stead of my "Bantal Busuk" that i  been cuddle for years! Now i know i make the right choice. *wink*

My mood were dull today until i saw you on Facebook and you agree to meet on Skype.

We meet for about 20 minutes. I know it's short.

Seeing you for a while and listening your voice will boast my mood up.

I'm really happy today.

As am doing my assignment report, my progression today were extremely fast. I'm happy that you share your updates, telling me your happening lately.

Not much, a little;

Locals' Enthusiasm

Story-line begin in an English Garden Party at Fulwood, Sheffield last Saturday.

Student union society work with Egerton Hall to organize an English Garden Party.
2 girls friends of mine and me were invited to this event. We were so excited and as ladies' favourites, we have decided what kind of dress to wear 1 week before the day!

Upon consensus, we decide Flora Dress!

On the day itself, all of us been invited were met at SHU main entrance (in front of Owen Building). We were arranged to one of a small coach and journey took around 30 mins from SHU. Since seats behind was full, i was asked to sit the front seat just beside the driver! We share stories all the way to Fulwood, hahaha

We brought to a house that is attached to a floral scent greenish garden while classic melodies were played by the musician.

It's so beautiful and serene ❤

The whole atmosphere full of English feel, Enthusiasm local around as well as Southeast Asia student including US (Malaysian), China, India & etc..

English desserts & hot Tea or Coffee are served.
I just can't stop eating English Desserts!

It's delicious =9

After eat, the most important task to do next was snapping pictures =B

My girls friends enjoyed snapping pictures around beautiful corners of the garden

Let me show you some of our favourites =)

My dreams is to meet British locals to share cultures, values, stories and views.

Coincidentally, we meet a women in the garden. She has a son aged 16 and a daughter aged 19. She is in her early 50's. She share a lot of her past experiences and stories to 3 of us. We were enjoy taking and before we end our conversation, 3 of us were showing her around the garden as in we are the owner of this house!

International Cafe is at Egerton Hall.
Egerton Hall is a Christ Church Center who was also the organizer of this party.

Members of the international cafe were also sharing Holy, Sonship and Service of Jesus.
Well, i were studied in Catholic School when i was small. I learn knowledge of Catholic as well as the Christian Knowledge since my aunties are Christian and they educate me informally.
That is where my interest come in....

International cafe runs an informal gather among all who are interested in interacting with the British locals.
It was every Monday 8p.m-10p.m.

3 of us found it quite interesting. Thus, today.. we search all the way from the Forger (our accommodation) to the Fitzwillian Street ( the Christ Church Center). Enthusiastic locals welcoming us with warm smile and hot coffee, tea and cookies! We speak to each other and we meet new British new friends =)

They are:
  1. Sam
  2. Rachel
  3. Laura
  4. Aaron
  5. Uncle David
  6. Uncle Fred

They are install in my memory. I like to talk with them especially Uncle Fred.
Uncle Fred share lots of his Royal Air Force Soldier Stories in 1854, 1956 when he work as an soldier in his 18- 21 years old. He been travel to a lot of country to service UK Royal Air Force. He is 78 years old now. He even share his romance storied when he is young with his wife =D He meet his wife in a Christmas party present exchange session in a church! They meet in 1951 and in 1961, they got married.
10 years love journey!

He can remember all the years very well for every part happened in his life. He told me that memories & experiences in the past 10 or 20 years that you have gone through make a deep memories in your mind.

He said, " It's easier to refresh all the past 30 years of stories than to refresh back what you have taken in your breakfast today!" hahaha

He believe that there is always a reason when Lord make you alive.

I agree with you, Uncle Fred.

I enjoy talking with humor Uncle David also. He is around 60 years old. He likes adventure, hiking and camping. By his attire with a cowboy hat, i roughly can guess that he is someone who likes adventure and get active!

Thanks Aaron for bringing us the shortest way home, haha! Ash and me are really enjoy talking with you on the way home. Thank you =)
